“Skydd” — pronounced /ɧʏd/ — is the Swedish word for protection. And that’s what this gilet is all about.
Windproof, water-resistant and lightweight, it delivers on all promises. The material comprises 5% elastane allowing it to stretch nicely over packed jersey pockets and any other layers you’re wearing.
The stretchiness also means we have been able to create a “one for all” product. There’s no gender-specific option here. Instead it’s truly gender-neutral.
Tested through a pretty harsh Swedish spring, the fine details have been nailed and it’s production-ready. It packs small to easily fit in a jersey pocket. The gilet features a smooth two-way zipper, which unzips from the bottom and the top, allowing easy access to anything you’re carrying and, of course, also allowing for those romantic super-slo-mo videos of the gilet flapping in the wind as you press on ahead with your ride.
